There are quite a few search engines out there. Here are those
we prefer
to use for educational purposes.
Games and Puzzles

(We're working on this one) Search Teacher's
Desk We have compiled a database that allows you to search Teacher's
Desk for lessons, links, etc. which contain specific words.
Infoseek This will give you the
opportunity to narrow your search easier than the rest.
Dogpile This one will give you the
opportunity to search most all the other search engines. However, it takes time to
sort through all the results.
Altavista This one is fast, but
sometimes yields less information.
Yahoo! This one is OK.
We sometimes
use it for finding interesting background facts on various literature units.
